HOW TO PAY FOR PARKING AT KIOSKS

On-Street Kiosks

  1. Press any button on the kiosk to start.
  2. Enter license plate number on the keypad.
  3. Choose “Purchase ticket.”
  4. Choose “30 Minutes Free” or “Hourly” option.
  5. Choose # of hours to pay, and then hit “OK.”
  6. Pay by coins or credit card. If paying by credit card, screen will prompt to input a mobile number to enable extend time by phone.
  7. Take receipt when finished. If error made inputting plate number, place receipt on vehicle dash.

Public Lot Kiosks

  1. Press any button on the kiosk to start.
  2. Enter license plate number on the keypad.
  3. Choose “Purchase ticket.”
  4. Choose “Hourly” to pay by the hour. Choose “Daily” to pay for all day.
  5. Choose how many hours/days and press “OK.”
  6. Pay by coins, bills, or credit card. If paying by credit, enter mobile number to enable extend by phone.
  7. Take receipt when finished. If error made inputting plate number, place receipt on vehicle dash.

How to Extend Parking Time

  1. When paying by credit card, the screen will prompt the input of a mobile number to receive text notice.
  2. When text received, to extend parking follow the instructions closely. Make sure to input in 60 minute increments when replying.
  3. A text reply after time has expired will not work as the system clears your information.
  4. On-street parking can also be extended at any on-street kiosk.
  5. Off-street parking can only be extended at the kiosk in the lot that you parked in.

Parking Tips

  1. If you don’t know your license plate number, take a photo with your mobile phone for easy reference at the kiosk. If you have a typo on the receipt, just place it on your dash to avoid a ticket.
  2. Add time to parking on the street at any on-street parking meter kiosks in town, not only the one closest to where you parked. Paid parking above the first block of Ruxton Avenue must be paid for and can be extended only at a meter on Ruxton above the first block. You can’t pay for or extend parking on Ruxton from a Downtown kiosk, or vice versa.
  3. Only pay or extend your time in the public lots at a meter in the lot where you parked.
  4. If a kiosk does not print a receipt, it may be out of paper. Call (719) 685-2571 to request a refill, or walk away knowing your license plate was recorded as “paid” if the screen showed the expiration time.
  5. Parking on Ruxton is signed with detailed instructions. Please read all signs closed to where you parked.
