Barr Trail

Barr Trail is a 12+ mile hike with 7,500 feet altitude gain, leading up to Pikes Peak. The trail is one of the most difficult hikes to be found in the Pikes Peak region. The trail is well-marked and popular among all types of hikers, providing packed dirt and rocks and an easy trail to follow. Depending on the hiker, the average time to reach the top is approximately 6-10 hours. At the trail head is Barr Camp, where hikers can find picnic tables, clean restrooms, indoor seating, and overnight camping. The summer and fall months are typically the best months to hike Barr Trail.
